Chapter 21: The Villain’s Reckoning

“…You truly are the worst.”

Han Sua remarked in a self-deprecating tone.

“The absolute worst…villain.”

“If you’re only realizing that now, aren’t you incredibly dense? And what’s the big deal? We’re both villains anyway.”

Having confirmed what I needed, I no longer had any business with Han Sua. I casually waved her off, saying,

“Go back, Han Sua. Go and faithfully fulfill your duties as a villain. It’s not that difficult, is it?”

“…”

“But your face is a picture of misery. Why don’t you try smiling a little? Otherwise, it looks like your break was for nothing.”

*Snap!

With a snap of my fingers, Han Sua’s lips immediately curved upwards. Only after seeing Han Sua’s wide smile did I nod.

‘After all, it’s better than returning with a gloomy face and inviting unnecessary gossip.’

“Go.”

“…Okay.”

Han Sua then turned and vanished, a bright smile plastered on her face.

Even after Han Sua departed, I remained lost in thought for a long while.

Before the regression, during the internship raid incident.

At that time, Han Sua had reportedly been killed by a counterattack while attempting to betray the heroes amidst the chaos. Her identity had been exposed only afterward.

Therefore, to save her this time, I should have told her not to respond to the raid and do nothing at all.

Yet, the orders I had given this time were precisely the opposite.

I had no other choice.

I needed to somehow confirm the true nature of this unsettling feeling I experienced whenever I dealt with Han Sua.

If she truly was a villain, then I would simply use her as a pawn and discard her when she became useless.

But what if…

“…Haa.”

I sighed, then rose from my spot and followed in the direction Han Sua had disappeared.

This was just the beginning.

****

Fearless, the 33rd-ranked A-class hero.

She was currently one of the most prominent heroes, drawing significant media attention.

The patrol sector under her charge had maintained the nation’s lowest crime rate for six consecutive years.

Even the most heinous villains dared not set foot where her gaze could reach.

Furthermore, she had recently caught wind of a massive, suspicious financial flow and was actively tracking it.

She was convinced that a major player was involved.

Thus, if she could just achieve success in that endeavor, her promotion to S-class next year would be virtually guaranteed.

She would finally seize the moment she had long dreamed of.

That was certainly how it should have been.

“…What is this?”

Standing before the control room monitor, Fearless muttered blankly.

-WEEE-OOOOH, WEEE-OOOOH…!

Alarm sirens blared incessantly, piercing their eardrums.

The dozens of red dots saturating the map of S-City on the screen indicated simultaneous villain attacks.

It was a large-scale assault of unprecedented magnitude.

“What in the… these bastards!”

“Surveillance drone arrived on-site! Initiating video feed!”

The urban landscape then unfurled across the screen.

Villains were wreaking havoc, engaging in destructive acts everywhere.

As the video rapidly scrolled through scenes,

Fearless, spotting something, abruptly froze.

“Wait! Freeze the screen!”

She was instantly aghast.

There was no way she wouldn’t recognize that familiar appearance.

The villain on screen, firing energy beams in all directions, was the very same scoundrel whose arm she had personally severed years ago as a form of punishment.

It was none other than the S-class villain, Stingray.

He was considered one of the most formidable figures among current Korean villains.

–Where are you, Fearless! Come out now! This time, I’ll finally repay you for the humiliation of last time!

“This son of a… I should have captured him back then, no matter what…!”

Fearless ground her teeth, muttering under her breath.

Without taking her eyes off the screen, she asked,

“Have we requested backup from other offices?”

“The reply is that it’s impossible! Simultaneous attacks are occurring in nearby areas as well…!”

“Fearless! Backup requests are flooding in from the police! We need your orders quickly!”

The operator’s desperate cries rang out.

Fearless scanned the assembled crowd.

Office staff and even trainee heroes dispatched from the Cradle (TL Note: A facility or program for nurturing new heroes) were anxiously awaiting her command.

Seeing their desperate hope, she was able to regain her composure.

A hero of courage shouldn’t be shaken by something like this.

Taking a slight deep breath, she grinned and shouted,

“Listen up, fledglings! This is your long-awaited first deployment! Everyone, prepare yourselves!”

At her seemingly nonchalant words, the tension in the room instantly crumbled.

She then began issuing commands with practiced ease.

“I’ll handle Stingray myself! The rest of you, divide into teams of three and deploy to your assigned sectors! Non-combat personnel, evacuate to the shelter with Sleeping Bubble! Just follow your training, and there’ll be no problems!”

As she was outlining the operational zones and protocols, her thoughts suddenly turned elsewhere.

“And the orphanage…”

With personnel stretched thin, her concern deepened.

It was a situation where even one additional combatant was desperately needed.

Fearless’s eyes landed on someone.

Psyche. One of the promising next-generation heroes attracting attention.

Though she currently displayed an anxious expression, perhaps due to nerves, she had consistently shown exceptionally exemplary conduct and a heroic mindset throughout this internship.

Having made her decision, Fearless designated her in a slightly subdued voice.

“…Psyche, I’m entrusting this to you.”

“Me?”

A clear query filled with surprise.

However, there was no time for an answer.

After confirming the heroes’ deployment and the non-combatants’ evacuation, Fearless swiftly donned her suit and jetpack, then soared into the sky.

-THUD!

Landing on-site in a flawless hero pose, she nimbly surveyed her surroundings.

“Eheheh! Fearless! So you finally crawled out!”

A laugh, both familiar and repulsive, echoed.

She immediately sharpened her senses.

“I thought you might have run away, scared!”

The S-class villain, Stingray, greeted her with a hideously contorted face.

“A hero would never be afraid of a mere criminal.”

Fearless retorted instantly, her voice chilling.

“Stingray. What gave you the confidence to orchestrate a terror attack like this? Do you truly believe you can escape unscathed?”

“You wouldn’t know. The kind of plan that has been laid out for us.”

The villain spread his arms wide, baring his yellowed teeth as he laughed.

“Soon, a world for villains will arrive. And when it does, you hypocrites will crawl beneath our feet.”

“Nonsense. It seems the shock of losing your arm has driven you mad.”

Dismissing Stingray’s words without a second thought, Fearless drew her trademark blades.

“This time, I will arrest you, Stingray. You cannot defeat me. I’ll refresh your memory of five years ago.”

Fearless.

Just like her hero name, her power was to grow stronger with courage.

There was no reason to fear someone she had already defeated.

Her victory this time, too, seemed a foregone conclusion.

“Well, will it really be?”

However, Stingray’s continued composure gradually grated on her nerves.

He merely watched Fearless, his arms crossed.

Soon, Stingray raised a finger and pointed in a certain direction.

“Why don’t you take a look over there first?”

“Ha, what kind of trick… are you…?”

Fearless, who had scoffed and turned her head, murmured in a dazed voice.

In the direction he pointed, a video was being broadcast.

It was the interior of a shelter, a place very familiar to her.

Yet, the personnel who should have been safely evacuated were bound tightly, kneeling on the floor, their faces contorted with terror.

“H-how in the world…!”

“Kuhuhu, it seems we’ve finally become a little more equal now.”

Beyond the aghast Fearless, a much more relaxed voice sounded.

Stingray once again bared his yellowed teeth and laughed.

“So, shall we resume our conversation?”

****

“Hmm-hmm, excellent.”

Sleeping Bubble, or rather, the D-class villain Mimic Girl, observed the camera rotating with a whirring sound and nodded in satisfaction.

She had just finished transmitting the video of the captured hostages to Stingray.

Her true skin began to drip onto the floor.

The hostages screamed as a new face emerged from beneath the melting skin of Sleeping Bubble.

“Kya, kyaaak…!”

“Wh-what is that…!”

“Shut up! Or I’ll kill you.”

Having reverted to her true form, she snarled in a chilling voice.

Confronted by her palpable murderous intent, the hostages immediately clamped their mouths shut again.

“Ugh, h-hngh…”

“Hmph…”

Faint sobs could be heard.

However, she merely stretched as if it were nothing of consequence.

Monitoring the hostages was simply tedious and boring.

This task had been assigned to her precisely because her combat abilities were unusually low compared to her powers.

“…What is the purpose of this act?”

“Huh?”

Then, someone’s voice broke through the silence.

To dare such recklessness despite her warning.

However, Mimic Girl merely twisted her lips into a smirk.

She had been bored anyway.

She would make an example of them, play with them for a bit, then kill them when she was done.

Should she rip off an arm? Or a leg, or an eye?

Perhaps all of them would be good.

Anticipating the sweet screams that would soon echo, Mimic Girl turned her body.

“Ah…”

A gasp escaped her lips involuntarily, and a deep red blush began to spread across her face.

Standing defiantly and glaring at her was a tall, striking male student.

Mimic Girl knew him well, too.

“It was you…?”

“I asked what your purpose is…! Why are you doing this…!”

And beyond his slightly trembling voice, courage was distinctly palpable.

Was he stepping forward as the representative of the hostages here?

Normally, she would have simply thought, ‘He doesn’t know his place,’ and easily burst his head.

But for some reason, she didn’t dislike the current sight.

On the contrary, her legs felt strangely weak, and Mimic Girl desperately rubbed her thighs together, struggling to maintain her stance.

“Haah, hngh…”

Feeling the dampness between her legs, she swallowed a fervent breath, far from feeling ashamed.

Mimic Girl recalled the asceticism she had endured for the past few days.

“Haa, haa…”

How difficult it had been.

He had smiled brightly beside her, called her beautiful at times, and even patted her shoulder, saying she had worked hard.

The ensuing ecstasy of temptation had driven her almost to madness.

It had even reached a point where she seriously considered defecting to the hero side.

Of course, now there was a much easier and simpler method.

“Answer me…! Why are you… Ack!”

“Kyaaak…!”

“Oh, what do we do…!”

Unable to restrain herself any longer, she grabbed the male student’s arm and dragged him out. She no longer cared about the screams erupting around them.

‘A little fun won’t hurt, will it? He’s just a powerless nobody anyway.’

A powerless individual, untouched by ‘powers’ (TL Note: Refers to superhuman abilities or supernatural gifts), had no way to resist a super-human.

*Thud!

“Ugh…!”

Opening a door to a secluded corner room, she roughly threw the male student inside.

“Haa, haa-uh…”

Mimic Girl wiped the wanton drool from the corner of her mouth, muttering desperately.

“You tempted me… you know that, right…? You dog-like bastard… it’s because you kept wagging your tail like that, isn’t it…?”

“Wh-what are you…”

“Shut up…! Shut up, shut up, shut up! H-how many times did I have to change my underwear at work because of you… You male whore, you dog-like… Hngh… Hah…”

An electrifying sensation now coursed through her lower abdomen. Just the thought alone was this intense; the pleasure to come was utterly unfathomable.

“…What happened to the real Sleeping Bubble?”

The question was still posed with feigned composure.

However, Mimic Girl was not one to miss the faint fear seeping into his eyes.

He must have finally realized the reality before him.

Though it was already too late.

“Hmm… I don’t know. She’s probably locked up somewhere, I guess. If she’s unlucky, she might even be dead already…”

She answered dismissively, slowly approaching the male student, then abruptly plopped down on top of him.

Feeling the sensation of his firm thighs, Mimic Girl instinctively began to gently rub her lower body against him.

She was no longer a villain, but rather a female animal in heat.

“…Are you a villain?”

“Ugh, yes. I’m Mimic Girl. A D-class villain.”

Even the most insignificant F-class villain could easily tear an ordinary person to death with their bare hands.

Such was the difference between super-humans and ordinary people.

A D-class villain, moreover, was akin to a disaster.

And among them, she boasted a formidable skill level.

“D-class…?”

“Hehe, it’s okay… No need to be too scared, hngh… Big sis will teach you something good…”

The male student’s voice carried a subtle, nuanced tone. However, Mimic Girl, overly aroused, didn’t even notice it, pressing herself closer to him.

Perched on him, she placed both hands on his chest to support herself. From her vantage point, she could clearly take in his features.

When that face reached its climax, if she just pulled it off and kissed his lips…

“Ah, ah…”

Mimic Girl could no longer maintain her sanity.

She was finally about to forcefully tear open the male student’s outer clothing.

“Sigh…”

A deep sigh was heard. A sense of disappointment, almost bordering on exasperation, was clearly evident.

Mimic Girl gazed at him once more. The fear from moments ago was gone; the male student merely scanned her with a dry, indifferent gaze.

Opening his mouth, he murmured in a low voice,

“What a waste of time. Just for a D-class nobody…”

“D-D-class nobody…?”

Mimic Girl inadvertently echoed his words. It was the kind of thing no ordinary person would casually utter.

Slowly, like a gradient, her mind began to fill with rage.

She immediately revised her plan.

She would just rip off all his limbs and his neck, then just play with his lower half.

“Y-you male whore! Who do you think you are, not knowing your place…!”

-Click!

However, with a sound like something clicking, her body abruptly froze.

“Huh?”

Mimic Girl uttered in a bewildered voice. Even when she tried to exert force, her limbs wouldn’t budge.

It was as if control over her body had been snatched away by something.

“Hey.”

And then, a heavily commanding voice, deeply authoritative, echoed.

“Get off.”
